Class Action Lawsuits

A class action lawsuit is when a group of plaintiffs with a similar grievance (injury, rights violation, etc.) collectively files a claim against one or more defendants. For instance, a group of people who were injured by a defective product might band together to sue that product’s manufacturer. When a class action lawsuit is successful, plaintiffs will individually receive an equal share of the settlement or verdict. Class action lawsuits are advantageous for several reasons, including:
